In order to determine the perfect equilibrium between horsepower and torque, our design team obtained data from the prototype model and, through the use of CAD (Computer-aided design), designed and built the exhaust system. CAD allows our designers to simulate and calibrate optimal hydrodynamic models more precisely. We have now a huge database of design drawings, which allows us to continually improve the quality of each of our exhaust systems.

A focal point in our designs, pipe diameters play a critical role in the quality and practicality of each and every exhaust system. Generally speaking, larger pipe diameters will result in better horsepower output performance at high rpm range. However, this isn’t to say that larger diameters equate better highend performance; when the diameter size is too large, exhaust gases will not be able to fill up the holding space of the exhaust pipe and the exhaust gases will create turbulence and exhaust outflow issues , which will negatively affect performance. Exhaust pipes with smaller diameter sizes are perfect for torque output under low revs. When the car is operating under mid to low rpm range, exhaust gases can be released quickly, but under high rpm, large volumes of exhaust gases will be blocked inside the exhaust system and subsequently increase the exhaust temperature. Therefore, the Fi Team designs and customizes every exhaust pipe with precision and utmost care based on their original fittings, with the aim to greatly increase horsepower and torque performance through an optimal diameter ratio. Welding Technology - Handcrafted TIG welding.
Tungsten Inert Gas Welding, often shortened to TIG welding, is a welding technique that, through the use of tungsten electrodes to produce the weld. The weld areas are protected from atmospheric contamination by an inert shielding gas (Argon or helium) A constant-current welding power supply produces an arc to melt the object and filler metal through a column of highly ionized gas and metal vapors. Although gases needed for TIG welding is noticeably more expensive than other welding techniques (such as shielded metal arc welding, submerged arc welding, and CO2 welding), but Argon can effectively shield the surrounding atmosphere to prevent contamination, while being insoluble and having no reaction with metals. TIG welding also automatically eliminates the oxide films present on the surfaces of the welding joints. Details and finishes on the objects can be protected from the destructive effects of the atmosphere to the melted metal. Our X-Pipe System features an innovative design to achieve treble resonance for an enhanced exhaust sound quality. Original Y-Pipe exhaust designs of some cars have inherent problems with exhaust pulse hesitation, that result in the loss of horsepower. Our X-Pipe improves on this phenomenon and allows exhaust gases to pass quickly from the double tail pipes. The central position configuration of X-Pipe provides plenty of space to allow the gas in head section to accumulate, achieving the goal of no torque loss under low speeds. The best feature of our X-Pipe design is the ability to shorten the moving distance of exhaust gases, and the result of this feature improve the exhaust flow greatly.
Before the inception of this technology, horsepower and torque were irreconcilable contradictions in the design of exhaust systems. Engineers reached a bottleneck in their attempt to address this issue. And when the exhaust engineers were about to give up, the valvetronic exhaust systems were invented.
Valvetronic systems first started appearing in the 1960s in Lamborghini, Ferrari and other sports cars. This new technology was heavily utilized to control airflow, volume, and enhancement of overall performance. This allowed sports cars to have high torque power at low rev speeds and even higher horsepower capability at high rev speeds. Our Fi Exhaust Team not only designs and manufacture standard exhaust systems, but also applies this technology to all our exhaust systems. Our exhaust systems also provide Valvetronic capabilities even to vehicles not originally designed with valve control systems.
To attain optimal performance and distinctive sound performance for your Fi Exhaust system, we now offer a catalytic simulator - The catalytic simulator is here to replace the stock catalytic converters. The result of the catalytic simulator will allow for extremely smooth exhaust flow and enhanced horsepower performance coupled with a distinctive high-pitched sound, inducing the exhaust system to reach the pinnacle of performance. Furthermore, there is no need to worry about engine error warning light (Check Engine Light) errors. Our solution is to incorporate metallic catalytic converters, which will enhance both torque and highend performance. Our metallic converters come in two models, the "Competitive-Type 100 CPSI" and "Sports-Type 200 CPSI". The higher the number of the cells, the smaller and denser the hole is. The higher the back pressure, the more it can enhance torque performance, while the opposite is true for increasing horsepower. The biggest distinction between metallic catalytic converters from stock ones is that catalyst coatings are usually applied on stock ceramic bodies (carriers) while metallic catalyst coatings are applied on metallic bodies (carriers), which prevents cracks and fracturing and results in a more durable and better performing system, with better airflow and exhaust efficiency. Converting your stock catalyst converter (400~800 CPSI) into our metallic catalyst converters will result in significant enhancements in airflow discharge that circumvents the limitations and parameters set by car manufacturers. This will result in greater acceleration performance for your vehicle.
Recommended Stock ceramic catalysts used by car manufacturers coat catalysts on the ceramic carrier. Catalysts are precious metals that usually range from 400 to 800 CPSI, with higher cell numbers equating to higher densities and price. Smaller cell numbers have a lower back pressure and more pronounced sound performance. Torque decreases under low revs, but under high revs, horsepower increases, which means it is not suitable for use in urban driving (low speeds), but favorable to high speed driving. After our tests, we concluded that 400 CPSI is the best figure that is suitable for low speed, high speed and sound performance. When combined with our Valvetronic Exhaust System, full domain dynamic response can be enhanced to a whole new level.
Sport Type 200 CPSI (200 holes within one square inch) After installation, optimal performance can be reached at high revs, with quick throttle responsiveness, no torque lag at low revs. When integrated into our Valvetronic system, not only will you witness a significant increase in horsepower, but also improvements in torque performance and exhaust flow rate to enhance exhaust volumetric efficiency. This ensures durability and eliminates problems with refractory wool burn-out. Applicable to all car types, it’s suitable for any and all your intended uses. Competitive type 100 CPSI (100 holes within one square inch) After installation, you have full power at the high revs, and better start responsiveness. Though there is a partial torque loss at low revs, it can be effectively eliminated with our Valvetronic system. This kind of catalyst is generally used in race cars , so it is often called “racing catalyst”. With the larger cells and fast exhaust flow rate, it is smooth, durable and do not have refractory wool burn-out problems. It is the gem of car racing technology, and is applicable to all car types.
